To love the self is to nourish the body when it hungers or thirsts.
To love the self is to rest when the body has been pushed to its limits.
To love the self is to recognize emotions as the manner in which the body communicates its place in the universe at large.
To love the self is to provide the body and mind with peace and quiet so nothing can distract them from withdrawing for a short time.
To love the self is to protect the mind from negativity and degradation.
To love the self is to actively monitor thought patterns so as not to allow any limiting thought to take temporary or lengthy residence.
To love the self is to encourage the mind to foster growth in all areas of life.
To love the self is to accept mistakes with the knowledge that everyone makes them.
To love the self is to accept shortcomings as strengths are built upon by showing gentle kindness and warming compassion to all.
To love the self is to recognize the interconnectedness between all beings, though a loving self would never compromise its own boundaries in order to maintain toxic connections.
To love the self is to accept that not all things in the universe have one’s interest in mind, for not everything feels the connection one may wish to share openly with another.
